08/15/2007 - Viking Launches 2007/2008 Paddle Line

Viking began shipping its new paddle line today.

The new line features Viking's new VAST™ technology system. Some of the technology is “under-the-hood”, and some is “visible technology”. You won’t see the Variable Tempered Rims which match rim temper to core densities to optimize power and control, the Surtar2™ and Tempered Impact™ bonding technology that matches bonding levels to core densities, or Viking's Core Impact Technology™ that matches paddle “skins” to paddle “cores”. You won’t see them but players will clearly notice the performance differences. You will see our Razor Sharp hole technology where holes are milled rather than drilled for extra sharpness yielding more “bite on the ball”, and you will see our new Shock Absorbing Ring on two of our paddles which provides extra shock protection while not limiting power. As in past years, all Viking paddles for the season will feature Gamma grips
